Burns - Home Treatment

Healing Miracle for burns:
 
A young man sprinkling his lawn and bushes with pesticides wanted to check the contents of the barrel to see how much pesticide remained in it. He raised the cover and lit his lighter; the vapors inflamed and engulfed him. His neighbor came out of her house with a dozen eggs, yelling to another neighbor: "bring me some eggs!" She broke them, separating the whites from the yolks. The other neighbor woman helped her to apply the whites on the young man's face. When the ambulance arrived and when the EMTs saw the young man, they asked who had done this. Everyone pointed to the lady in charge. They congratulated her and said: "You have saved his face." By the end of the summer, the young man brought the lady a bouquet of roses to thank her. His face was like a baby's skin.
 


Keep in mind this treatment for burns is taught to beginner fireman. First aid consists of spraying cold water on the affected area until the heat is reduced and stops burning the layers of skin. Then, spread egg white on the affected are.

One woman burned a large part of her hand with boiling water. In spite of the pain, she ran cold faucet water on her hand, separated 2 egg white from the yolks, beat them slightly and dipped her hand in the egg white. The whites then dried and formed a protective layer.
She later learned that the egg white is a natural collagen. She continued for at least one hour to apply layer upon layer of the beaten egg white. By afternoon she no longer felt any pain and the next day there was hardly a trace of the burn. 10 days later, no trace was left at all and her skin had regained its normal color. The burned area was totally regenerated thanks to the collagen in the egg white, a placenta full of vitamins.

Qikung Walking Exercise
The Qikung Walking Exercise that I am teaching at different venues is good but needs at least 1 hour a day to practice for good results. Since many of you are still working, here is one exercise I believe could help you solve the time problem. Just 15 minutes a day and good results can be expected if you do it diligently everyday for a period of 2-3 months (depending on individuals health conditions and ones duration of holding up the legs.)

Lie down on your back, raise your legs as show in the photo 90 degree at thighs with body, 90 degree at knee joints, 90 degree at ankles and keep this posture for 15 minutes or longer. Start with as long as you can manage and add on the minutes. Thats it.
Notes:
1) Drink before and after the exercise 300cc of warm water. Breathing normally. Dont hold back your breath. Using the energy from your waist and Dantien to hold your legs in that posture as long as you can manage.
2) When you are lying down in this posture, blood will flow back to your liver and kidneys ensuring fast detoxing and increasing your metabolism. You will feel very soared with your legs and your pituitary gland will be activated to hasten the detox process and the toxins in your body will be excreted via sweating.
3) When you are lying in this posture, your body is getting rid of the toxin in your body. They your good body cells will be stronger and has definitely a good control of any bad cells (including cancer cells) inside your body.
4) Since you are using your waists energy to support the legs, your Dantien and MingMun (2 of the main acupressure points) were used to do the breathing, your Front and Back main Meridians will be cleared and connected. Thus your minute skin pores will be opened to help with the detox process. With breathing through the Dantien, it helps to lessen the burden of breath on your lungs. Therefore, you heart functions will be stronger with the result that your blood pressure will also be lower.
5) When you sweat, the acidic toxins will be excreted, your blood lipid (fatty deposits) will be burnt. Spleen is in charge of our 4 limbs. Therefore, your blood sugar level will also be stabilized with the result your spleen function is being improved. End result is that you will feel more calm and gentle.
6) When your legs are up, your small intestines movement will be activated and your bladders muscles will be stronger. Therefore, constipation, abnormal menstruation, prostate problems can all be avoided. Also, once your digestion and excretion systems are in order, you will have good appetite and can maintain your normal body weight.
7) When your legs are up, your spine is straight. That means your whole bodys muscles will be strengthened. Qi and blood will flow smoothly throughout your body. Your joints can easiy have more bone marrows and the nerves alongside your spine are well connected with all parts of the body. Thus degeneration of joints and growth of bone spurs can be avoided.
8) When your legs are up, all your inner organs are working in harmony. Your brain burden will be less and thus can function better, resulting in clear heads, better memory and no more insomnia. Also you will have better tolerance and stronger will power.
Therefore, the longer you can hold up your legs in that posture, the better and long living you will be.

  在此簡述抬時的過程與反應:
一、 時前、後需各喝300西西開水,心平氣和保持輕鬆,自然呼吸、不可憋氣,靠腰力及丹田氣力來支撐身體下半部所受之酸。使身體與大腿成九十度、大腿與小腿成九十度支撐至少十五分鐘以上。

二、 在抬時血液會迅速流回肝、腎,給予重新解毒排毒,此時新陳代謝增加,腰部以下會有強烈極酸的反應,為了排解瞬間增加毒素,人體腦下垂體自會分泌激素,激發潛能,加強排毒,最後在流汗中,將毒素予以排出。

三、 在抬時可引濁氣下行排出,升清降濁正氣倍增,體正常細胞大曾活躍,癌細胞自然死亡。

Osteoporosis - Food for Thought

Don’t waste your money on calcium supplements.

If you’re taking them hoping to build strong bones and avoid osteoporosis you’ll be let down on both fronts.
Doctors and drug companies push the idea that the best way to treat and prevent osteoporosis is by taking lots of calcium. This simply isn’t true.

Osteoporosis isn’t caused by a lack of calcium.

Studies come to the same conclusion: calcium intake does not prevent fractures due to bone loss.
· The Harvard Nurses’ Study is one of the most complete and well-conducted studies in science. The study followed 77,761 nurses. For 12 years, researchers examined the association between dietary calcium and bone fractures.
Results showed there was no protection from fractures with any dose of calcium intake. Nurses who had the highest calcium intakes actually had an increased risk of bone fracture.1
· An Australian study confirms the result of the Harvard Nurses’ Study. This study also looked at the association between calcium and fracture risk. The study looked at lifetime calcium consumption in over 400 elderly participants. The study concluded that calcium consumption in early adulthood actually increased the risk of bone fractures as the person aged.2
· Doctors in the UK found that calcium and vitamin D did not prevent fractures.3 Their two-year study showed that neither calcium nor vitamin D lowered the number of fractures in women over age seventy.
So, what controls bone loss? Hormones and exercise.

Bone building is hormonal. In women, estrogens are the main regulators of bone health and breakdown. Progesterone controls the rate of new bone deposition. But the most powerful bone builder in both men and women is testosterone. Testosterone is central for achieving maximal bone mass and strength.

Taking calcium supplements will give you a short-term boost in bone density, but that’s it. Over time, your hormones will work against the extra calcium and actually leave your bones more brittle than before.

Consider this: The US has the highest intake of calcium, yet our rates of osteoporosis are the highest in the world. Countries with lower intakes of calcium have lower rates of hip fracture and osteoporosis.4

Maintaining healthy levels of hormones in your body is one way to keep your bones strong.

There is an easy and inexpensive hormone precursor shown to improve the levels of other sex hormones. It’s called DHEA (Dehydroepiandrosterone). It is involved in the manufacturing of most major sex hormones in the body, like estrogen and testosterone. DHEA treatments are becoming more common.

You can get it over the counter but I don’t advise anyone take DHEA without having their blood levels checked. You will have to ask your doctor to measure it.

Physical inactivity will also lead to weakening of your bones. Your bones need to bear weight in order to become strong. When you do weight bearing activities, you are telling your bones that they must become strong in order to continue these activities.

You do this by encouraging them to push more weight. Challenging your muscles and bones with weight bearing exercises is crucial. Walking, cycling, weight training or playing tennis or golf will help.
In spite of what you hear on TV, calcium supplements have little to do with the strength of your bones. If you want strong bones for life, here are six things you can do right now:
· Exercise: The best to increase bone density and reduce fractures is body weight exercises (like calisthenics) and resistance training. Make a habit of doing these exercises two or three times a week. Thirty minutes of walking a day will lower your risk of fracture by 30 percent.4
When you exercise, your muscles pull on your bones. This pressure creates a challenge that your body responds to by increasing bone density. This will ensure that you stay mobile and independent.
· Skip calcium supplements: Get your calcium in your diet. Eat a variety of small fish, dark, leafy green vegetables, almonds and cashews, or dairy products like milk, cheese, and yogurt. You should be aiming for about 400 mg per day.
· Take a vitamin D supplement: I recommend 400 IU per day. It helps your body absorb calcium and maintain bone density. Without vitamin D, calcium supplements are worthless. The best source of vitamin D is the sun – 10 to 15 minutes of exposure a day should be enough. During the winter, take cod liver oil. It’s by far the best supplemental source of vitamin D.
· Eat your greens: Vitamin K found in dark leafy greens regulates calcium while stabilizing bones in addition to regulating blood clotting. Eat at least one serving of green vegetables like spinach, kale, collard greens, mustard greens, Brussels sprouts or broccoli every day. One study found people eating just 0.1 milligrams of vitamin K daily (about one large serving of greens) were 30% less likely to break their hips than people who ate less than that amount.
Another university study showed that vegetables and herbs improve your bone metabolism. Researchers found that rats that missed out on their veggies had much lower bone density.5 Another showed that fruits and vegetables increase your bone density. The same study found that dairy products did nothing.6
· Eat foods rich in B-complex vitamins: Your body also uses a variety of B vitamins in bone building. The best sources are liver, eggs, lean meats, yeast, fish, raw nuts, asparagus, broccoli and bananas.
· Get a blood test: A simple blood test will tell you how your hormone levels affect your bone health. This is the best way to determine the health of your bones and your risk for fracture. Women may need to take natural progesterone. For both men and women testosterone is the most powerful controller of your bone density.

Stroke - Symptoms often ignored

RECOGNIZING A STROKE
Rember the "3" steps, STR . Read and Learn!

Sometimes symptoms of a stroke are difficult to identify. Unfortunately,
the lack of awareness spells disaster. The stroke victim may suffer severe
brain damage when people nearby fail to recognize the symptoms of a stroke.


Now doctors say a bystander can recognize a stroke by asking three simple questions:
S *
Ask the individual to SMILE.

T * Ask the person to TALK and SPEAK a simple sentence(Coherently)               (eg. It is sunny out today)
R * Ask him or her to RAISE both arms.
If he or she has trouble with
ANY ONE of these tasks,
call 999/911 immediately and describe the symptoms to the dispatcher.

According to information available on the American Stroke Association's website, the three questions outlined in the email are a medically viable method for a layperson to ascertain if a person is presenting with stroke symptoms.

The procedure was originally outlined in a
report to the American Stroke Association's 28th International Stroke Conference. The report states that a bystander may be able to spot someone having a stroke by giving the person a simple, quick test to see if they can smile, raise both arms and keep them up, and speak a simple sentence coherently...

Certainly, the core information in the email is worth heeding. Knowing how to conduct this simple test could indeed save a person's life. The aforementioned report explains that if bystanders can relay results of this test to an emergency dispatcher, it could speed treatment to stroke patients. Time is crucial in treating stroke.

America's National Stroke Association
lists the following as common symptoms of stroke:
  • Sudden numbness or weakness of face, arm or leg, especially on one side of the body
  • Sudden confusion, trouble speaking or understanding
  • Sudden trouble seeing in one or both eyes
  • Sudden trouble walking, dizziness,
  • loss of balance or coordination
  • Sudden severe headache with no known cause
Given this list of symptoms, it is easy to see how the simple three-question test could help identify a stroke.

However, there is an important point that needs to be considered. While the central information in the email is true, the absence of these symptoms does not necessarily indicate that a person is NOT having a stroke. It could be extremely dangerous to reach the conclusion that a person did not require medical attention just because he or she could successfully carry out the three steps outlined in the test. When stroke strikes, the capillaries in the brain will gradually burst. When a stroke occurs,
stay calm. No matter where the victim is, do not move e him/her.
Because, if moved, the capillaries will burst. Help the victim to sit
up where he is to prevent him from falling over again, and then the
blood letting can begin.
If you have in our home an injection syringe that would be the best, otherwise,
a sewing needle or a straight pin will do.
Place the needle/pin over fire to sterilize it, and then use
it to prick the tip of all 10 fingers

till blood comes out. If blood does not start to drip, then squeeze

then the victim will regain consciousness.

ear lobe twice until two drops of blood comes from each ear lobe.


After a few minutes the victim should regain consciousness. ,Wait till
the victim regain his normal state without any abnormal symptoms then
take him to the hospital, otherwise, if he was taken in the ambulance
in a hurry to the hospital, the bumpy trip will cause all the
capillaries in his brain to burst. If he could save his life, barely
managing to walk, then it is by the grace of his ancestors learned
